Holistic education not only helps us to understand the outside world, which is crucially important, but also to understand our inner world, i.e. how to think, what we think, the feelings we have, our fears, desires and much more. We try to avoid things that threaten life and limb (which is reasonable); however, danger for the psyche often goes unseen (or we choose not to see it) although this is often what makes our lives a living hell.
Is it not necessary to ask the question, what is life actually about?
Greed, hate, envy, jealousy, ambition, boredom, fun, pleasure and much more, all this is part of life but nobody speaks to us about that. Perhaps we know what pleasure is, but where is pleasure there is also sorrow, both go hand in hand. It is not possible to have one without the other.
Naturally it is not possible to discuss these things with 3-year old or 5-year old children but it is possible to discuss it with their parents and teachers. This is necessary because they are largely responsible for the child's upbringing
Integral education is absolutely necessary not only for children and teenagers but also for adults.
